Incident Report

In the event of damages to your business, you should either inform your insurance advisor in writing or send an email at within eight (8) days from the incident. You should inform us regarding the following:

  1. The type of damage
  2. The cause of the damage and all the information related to it

Then, our representative will contact you regarding the supporting documents that are required as well as to schedule the visit of the claim’s expert for the damage report. You have the option of completing the damage report online with the mobile app “My eClaim”, provided the conditions are met. For damages up to €2,500, you will be compensated immediately without the submission of any supporting documents (On the spot payment).

Online damage report

With the mobile app “My eClaim”, you can complete the damage report online by recording the damage through a video call with a claim’s expert. In this case, you receive a link by sms to download the application to your mobile phone. You receive a video call through the application from the Generali representative that will provide instructions to record the circumstances of the accident. At this point, you should inform whether you wish to schedule the repair of the damage by a partner Generali workshop, through the Direct Repair service or if you wish to proceed with a workshop of your choice. With this online service, you significantly reduce your waiting time as you do not have to wait in order to book an appointment.  

Immediate Compensation

Receive immediate compensation, without any supporting documents and worries! “On the Spot Payment” offers you the opportunity to receive compensation immediately, without the need for any supporting documents, for damages up to € 2,500 to your business. The service is activated after the incident report, during the process of completing the damage report, either at your place or online with the mobile app “My eClaim”.

Does Generali cover me against earthquake damages?

Yes, but with the following conditions:

  • The property was built after 1960

  • The property has not been damaged by previous earthquakes

Can Generali cover me for the compensation I might have to pay, in the event that a client or a customer has an accident within the premises of my business, caused by reasons that can be attributed to me?

We cover you as long as your program includes the following covers:

  • General Liability to cover your liability towards third parties for body injury, death or damages due solely to an act or omission on your part, from the operation of your insured business
  • Employer Liability to cover the liability you have as an employer towards your employees, in the event of personal injury or death during the course of their work
